Native American Gathering

The Shadow Hawk Singers along with Betty Abbou are planning a Native American gathering for Saturday, May 24 th . The location will be at The Dream Maker. The Dream Maker is located at 4004 Triana Blvd. Huntsville, AL 35805. Everyone please bring a covered dish or something to drink. Paper plates, forks, spoons and napkins will also be needed. Bring your lawn chair and stay for some drumming and singing. All drummers and dancers are welcome to attend. Who knows, we may even talk a flute player or two into entertaining us. The event will be from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Bring your appetite for good food and good fellowship. This is not a Pow Wow and will likely not have any strict format. We want to get together and have some fun with old friends and meet some new ones. As always, no drugs, alcohol or firearms and leave your bad attitudes somewhere else.

What you need to bring:

a) Your own chair

b)       A quick up canopy (if you have one and want to get out of the direct sun)

c)        A covered dish food item or

d)       Drinks or

e)       Paper plates, napkins and utensils

f)        Desire to have some fun

Dancing With Spirit Workshop

A day of Dance designed to bring healing and balance. The day will begin with the creation and dedication of the circle for a Native American Style Circle Dance. The Circle Dance will be divided into four rounds with each lasting about 15 minutes with short breaks in between.

Bring a sack lunch and an item for the “giveaway” blanket. Lunch will last about 30 minutes.

After lunch will be a partner style dance designed to bring balance and understanding of the true masculine and feminine energies within us all, unifying them in dance.

Her training includes knowledge of Yoga History, Kundalini and Iyengar Yoga, extensive Anatomy & Physiology, disease, ailments, nutrition, vegetarian diet, and meditative practices and methods. She is also currently earning a bachelor's degree in psychology.
